CASK, the Creative Art Space for Kids Foundation (formerly of Oceanside) is proud
to announce the reopening of it's Art Studio and Gallery at 48-D
Atlantic Avenue in Lynbrook. In collaborating with Theater Workshop,
in the newly formed LICAS, Long Island Cultural Art Studios, it
is our dream to give Long Island the Art Mecca it has been waiting
for. One can only imagine the benefits for our young people and
the community at large having regular access to all the Arts have
to offer. In our post September 11th world, the Arts are sustaining
themselves on a grassroots- community level. We encourage the community
to come together in support of the Arts as a positive outlet for
self expression for our youth.

HISTORY
CASK, the Creative Art Space for Kids Foundation is a nonprofit, tax exempt
arts education program for children and adolescents which has been
serving the Long Island community with an artistic education center
since 1996. Fostering imagination to generate creativity, CASK,
with the collaboration of it's Founder, Artist Carlo Thertus and
staff of artists/teachers, educates youth by developing and encouraging
art as a positive vehicle for self expression. Art exhibitions featuring
the artwork of local and international artists as well as children's
art are held in the gallery and various art classes are held Tuesdays
through Sundays in the art studio.
CASK's educational programs foster healthy social development with
the understanding that art is the mark that distinguishes one's
heritage, history, values, communities and conscience. By sharing
the gift of creativity with children and giving them the outlet
for self expression, we are setting the stage for the future of
not only our communities, but our society and humanity at large.
